Riley is a researcher for Tooley Street Research. He has a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Toronto, and an MSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics. His specialism is long-form literature reviews, particularly in financial services. He has worked as a researcher for Active Securities, performing extensive market analyses on consumer banking and credit markets for multiple jurisdictions, including several Canadian provinces.
His most recent project for Tooley Street Research was a global literature review on cross-subsidisation in the retail current account market for the FS Consumer Panel. For the Munk School of Global Affairs in Canda he produced long-form work on development of the European Banking Authority, and the differential impact of the 2007 financial crisis on the US and Canada. He also undertook a global review of the minimum wage literature as part of the Centre for London project to find the level of a minimum wage for London.
